123 <br /> <br />¸4. <br /> <br />me <br /> <br />Ye <br /> <br />At the scene of the emergency and prior to the ambulance providers <br />arrival, the senior first responder shall be in control of the <br />emergency victim's care provided by that agency and its members. <br /> <br />Upon arriving at the scene of the emergency, the crew on the <br />ambulance Shall assume control of the victim's care at the <br /> <br />emergency scene. <br /> <br />The ambulance crew shall, at their discretion, release the first <br />responders when he or she feels their service is no longer needed <br />at the emergency scene or may request one or more first responders <br />to assist in the transportation of the patient(s) to the hospital. <br /> <br />The first responders shall act in a professional and courteous <br />manner at all times when administering care to patients. <br /> <br />The first responder and the first responder agency shall be liable <br />for their actions pertaining to the care of the patient prior to <br />the arrival of the ambulance provider. <br /> <br />SECTION 9: Standards for Record Keeping. <br /> <br />1. Each first responder agency shall maintain the following records: <br /> <br />Record of Patient Treatment: For each patient rendered <br />assistance by the first responder agency, the following <br />information will be recorded on a patient treatment form: <br /> <br />(1) Name, age, and address of the patient. <br />(2) Date and time treatment rendered. <br />(3) Location of treatment rendered. <br />(4) Patient complaints and condition at the time of <br /> treatment rendered. <br />(5) Patient vital signs and time recorded. <br />(6) Treatment rendered the patient by the first responder. <br />(7) Name of the member of the ambulance provider to whom <br /> patient is relinquished. <br />(8) Printed names and signatures of the first responders who <br /> provided patient care. <br /> <br />A preliminary copy of the record of Patient Treatment shall be <br />given to the ambulance crew when he/she assumes control of the <br />patient's care at the emergency scene. <br /> <br />Ce <br /> <br />A copy of the completed Record of Patient Treatment will be <br />given to the Director of Cabarrus County Emergency Services at <br />any time prior to the quarterly meeting of the Cabarrus County <br />EMS Advisory Board. This copy will be used for audit and <br />review. <br /> <br />De <br /> <br />The First Responder report will contain the dispatch number. <br />The number will be the same as the EMS dispatch number. <br /> <br />SECTION 10: Grievance Procedure. <br /> <br />First responder agency will be responsible for resolving grievances <br />between its own members. <br /> <br />Grievances from a first responder agency toward Cabarrus County <br />Ambulance Service shall be submitted in writing by the first <br />responder and co-signed by the Fire Chief or his/her designee to <br />the director of Cabarrus County Emergency Services. <br /> <br />0 <br /> <br />Grievances from Cabarrus County Ambulance personnel or Cabarrus <br />County Commissioners toward a first responder shall be submitted in <br />writing to the Director of Cabarrus County Emergency Services who <br />shall evaluate the grievance and if necessary relay it to the Fire <br />Chief of the appropriate agency. <br /> <br /> <br />
