137 <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Chairman Lentz with <br />Commissioners Payne, Hamby, and Moss and Chairman Lentz voting for and Commis- <br />sioner Melvin voting against, the Board approved $25,650.00 as the 1987-88 <br />allocation to Meals on Wheels as had been requested by that agency. <br /> Mr. McGinnis pointed out that $432,300.00 had been budgeted as the final <br />payment for the Rocky River Wastewater Treatment Plant as submitted by the <br />City of Concord. However, Mr. McGinnis stated that this amount was under <br />review and that payment would not be made until approved by the Board of <br />Commissioners at a later date. <br /> During review of the revaluation process, the Board discussed the possi- <br />bility of having an horizontal revaluation next year. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hamby, seconded by Chairman Lentz and unani- <br />mously carried, the Board moved that the ACT Class at Central Cabarrus. High <br />School or any comparable civics class at any other high school in the county <br />that wants the voter registration list for surveying purposes be considered a <br />legitimate County purpose and be provided with a random sampling list for a <br />cost of $50.00. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hamby, seconded by Commissioner Moss with <br />Commissioners Hamby, Moss, and Melvin voting for and Chairman Lentz and <br />Commissioner Payne voting against, the Board moved that the County provide the <br />same disk or magnetic medium containing the voter registration list that it <br />provides to the State political parties as an option to the local political <br />parties if they want the disk or magnetic medium to copy and return instead of <br />the hard copy list. <br /> Chairman Lentz recessed the meeting until 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 9, <br />1987, in the Commissioners Meeting Room at the County Courthouse. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
