322 <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Melvin, seconded by Chairman Lentz and <br />unanimously carried, the Board amended Subsection (a) of Section XVI, Sewer <br />Char~es, of the Cabarrus County Sewer Ordinance as shown in the agenda and <br />amended Subsection (g) of Section XVI, Sewer Char~es, as presented by the <br />County Attorney. The amendments as approved by the Board are as follows: <br /> <br />Section XVI. Sewer Charses <br /> <br /> (a) Fees: The following charges for sewer service are adopted and made <br />effective as of the date of this ordinance applicable to all sewer service on <br />the Cabarrus County System. These charges shall consist of a discharge <br />permit fee plus the appropriate tapping fees as shown below: <br /> <br />Type of Service <br /> <br />Discharge Permit Fee <br /> <br />TapDinR Fee <br /> <br />Residential $ 250.00 $550.00 <br /> <br />Residential <br />Developer <br />Installed <br /> <br />$ .00 $ .00 <br /> <br />Commercial $ 500.00 <br /> <br />Ail materials, equipment, <br />and labor cost plus 15%. <br />Minimum deposit required <br />$750.00. Excess refunded <br />or balance billed. <br /> <br />Industrial $1500.00 <br /> <br />All materials, equipment, <br />and labor cost plus 15%. <br />Minimum deposit required <br />$1000.00. Excess refunded <br />or balance billed. <br /> <br />Municipal $1500.00 <br /> <br />Ail materials, equipment, <br />and labor cost plus 15%. <br />Tapping fee waived if <br />installed by licensed <br />contractor or paid by <br />applicant. <br /> <br />Section XVI. Sewer Char~es <br /> <br /> (g) Location of Connections to County Owned Sewers and Authorization <br />Therefor. Any connection to any interceptor sewer may be made only pursuant <br />to the provisions of this Ordinance. Ail industrial or municipal connections <br />shall be metered in a manner acceptable to the County unless such metering <br />requirement is waived by formal action of the Board of Commissioners. <br /> <br /> In addition to any other application or permit fee requirements herein, <br />no industrial or municipal connection to any County sewer shall be permitted <br />without the express written consent of the Board of Commissioners secured <br />pursuant to the formal action and approval of the Board. <br /> <br /> Commissioner Melvin reported that the Farm Bureau had been informed that <br />the fee for the use of the Frank Liske Park facilities would be $75.00 more <br />than the fee recommended by the Board of Commissioners on February 1, 1988. <br />Chairman Lentz asked Commissioner Payne to look into this matter. <br /> There being no further business to come before the Board, the Chairman <br />recessed the meeting until 5:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 29, 1988. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
