<br />PURPOSE OF BUDGET REVISION REQUEST:
<br /> Increase in expenditures due to miscalculation of Ambulance expenses.
<br /> This is the first year in my budget.
<br />
<br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Melvin and
<br />unanimously carried, the Board approved North East Cabarrus Fire Department to
<br />operate as a First Responder Unit.
<br /> The Board acknowledged the following changes which have been made to the
<br />First Responder Program by the First Responder Advisory Committee: 1) Use of
<br />an alert tone and a voice message to stop response to a call instead of the
<br />reactivation of pager tones; 2) Lowering of minimum age requirement for First
<br />Responders to 16 years at the discretion of the individual fire department.
<br /> Chairman Lentz announced that the request by the City of Concord to tap
<br />on to the Harrisburg Outfall sewer line was being removed from the agenda at
<br />this time as a meeting is scheduled with representatives of the City during
<br />the next week.
<br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Payne and unani-
<br />mously carried, the Board approved a request from the City of Concord to make
<br />a connection to the County's water line on Highway 73 West near Hall Avenue
<br />and moved that the City be charged the same amount of $1,000.00 as the County
<br />paid to tap on to the City water line at Central Drive and Highway 73 West.
<br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Chairman Lentz and unani-
<br />mously carried, the Board authorized that the upper limit of the General
<br />Consulting Agreement with Camp Dresser & McKee be raised by $2,775.00 to
<br />provide for costs for designing the sedimentation basin at the Sanitary
<br />Landfill.
<br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hamby, seconded by Commissioner Melvin and
<br />unanimously carried, the Board ratified the following contract between
<br />Cabarrus County and Mecklenburg County.
