39O <br /> <br />CONTRACT <br /> <br />This agreement is made and entered into this the 1st day of April, 1988 <br />between the Mecklenburg County Health Department and the Cabarrus County <br />Health Department for services as described below. <br /> <br />A. Scope of Services <br /> The Mecklenburg County Health Department agrees to provide the testing of <br />dairy samples brought to the Mecklenburg County Public Health Laboratory by <br />the Cabarrus County Health Department. The Mecklenburg County Health Depart- <br />ment will mail the results to the Cabarrus County Health Department as soon as <br />the results are obtained from the analyst performing the tests. <br /> <br />B. Period of A~reement <br /> This agreement shall be effective on the date of execution and may be <br />amended or terminated at the mutual consent of both parties or terminated by <br />either party giving 30 days written notice. <br /> <br />Payment for Services <br /> (1.) Renumeration for services shall be at the rate of $5.00 per test. <br /> (2.) They advised the Board that the carts would be provided at no cost to <br />the customers by the companies and that allowances would be made for the <br />physically handicapped. It was noted that the franchised solid waste compa- <br />nies have agreed not to request a rate hike this year if the roll-out cart <br />proposal is approved. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Chairman Lentz and unani- <br />mously carried, the Board approved the Health Board's recommendation for the <br />use of roll-out carts for all residential customers of franchised solid waste <br />companies in Cabarrus County and amended the Cabarrus County Solid Waste <br />Ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />Section VIII, Parts B and C deleted. <br />Section VIII, Part D becomes Part C. <br />New Section VIII, Part B: <br /> <br />Garbage shall be secured in approved refuse roll-out containers <br />provided by the franchise haulers at no charge to the residential <br />customers. These containers must be rolled out to the roadside on <br />days designated by the franchised haulers. <br /> <br /> <br />
