The County will handle the submittals.
The County will need one copy, the North Carolina Department of
Transportation requires six copies of the portion of the plans showing
encroachments on their right-of-way and the Division of Health
Services requires three copies.

It is also necessary for the Developer to sign a Water Construction
Contract with the County or the Water and Sewer District. This
Contract must be approved by the proper Board at a regularly scheduled
meeting.

No construction shall begin on the project prior to the receipt of
approval from the County Engineer, the North Carolina Department of
Transportation, the North Carolina Division of Health Services and the
approval of the Water Construction Contract.

In the event of a railroad crossing, the County will make the
application, but the Design Engineer will have to prepare the special
drawings required by the railroad. One set may be the actual set kept in the field during
construction, but the second set shall be a clean set with all changes
shown in neatly lettered drawings or notes using red pencil or ink.

After these steps are complete, the system will become the property of
the County and after the warranty expires, the County will take over
the operation and maintenance of the facilities.
