481 <br /> <br />Each lift station shall be equipped with audible and visual alarms <br />with silencer switches. <br /> <br />Wet well to be open top design with a sectional aluminum grating <br />cover. <br /> <br />A galvanized steel guide rail and portable hoist of sufficient <br />strength to remove the pumps shall be provided. <br /> <br />The manual transfer switch for a portable generator and the pump <br />controls shall be mounted in weatherproof enclosures. The weather- <br />proof enclosure shall be covered by a personnel shelter at least 4 <br />feet by 8 feet. <br /> <br />The lift station shall be enclosed with a 6 feet high chain link fence <br />with barbed wire. The enclosure shall be a minimum of 25 feet by 25 <br />feet. <br /> <br />The area inside the enclosure, as well as the access road and parking <br />area shall have a base of 6 inches of aggregate base course, (No. 7 <br />base stone). <br /> <br />A security light shall be installed inside the enclosure. <br /> <br />Ail design shall be strictly in accordance with the standards and <br />requirements of the North Carolina Department of Natural Resources and <br />Community Development, Environmental Management Division. <br /> <br />Sewer force mains and lift stations shall be discussed with the County <br />Engineer in a pre-design conference prior to submittal for approval. <br /> <br />SUBMITTAL <br />Ail drawings shall be on 24" x 36" sheets. <br /> <br />Title Block on each sheet shall contain. <br />a. Project name. <br />b. Description of work shown on that sheet. <br />c. Developers name and address. <br />d. Engineers name and address. <br />e. Date. <br /> <br />General drawing details <br />a. North arrow. <br />b. Vicinity map. <br />c. General street cross-section. <br />d. Show existing facilities as dashed lines. <br />e. Show proposed facilities as solid lines. <br />f. Provide a cover sheet with the following information, if more <br /> that one sheet is required for project. <br /> <br />(2) <br />(3) <br />(4) <br />(5) <br />(6) <br /> <br />Project name in large letters. <br />Total layout of project with each plan sheet "blocked out". <br />Vicinity map. <br />Engineer's name, address and seal. <br />Developer's name and address. <br />North arrow. <br /> <br />Scale for sewer plans shall be 1" = 40' For sewer profiles, the <br />scale shall be 1" =40' horizontal and 1" = 4' vertical. <br /> <br />Profile is to be on the top of the sheet and the plan on the bottom. <br /> <br />Profile and stationing is to run up grade from left to right. <br /> <br />Profiles should be broken only at manholes. <br /> <br />Show PVC sewers as shaded on the profiles and all other pipe not <br />shaded. <br /> <br />Show all proposed manholes as shaded and all existing manholes as not <br />shaded. <br /> <br /> <br />
