482 <br /> <br />Manholes are to be numbered from the existing manhole or lift station <br />up grade. <br /> <br />Show sewer laterals for each lot. Only two laterals may be connected <br />to a manhole, with the exception of three in a cul-de-sac. <br /> <br />Elevations shall be based on U.S.G.S. datum with bench marks set at <br />the upper ends of all lines. <br /> <br />One copy of The Cabarrus County Construction Specifications and <br />Standard Details will be supplied by the County for the Developer's <br />duplication and use during the bidding and construction phase. <br /> <br />Furnish two sets of drawings for the County's review. If a lift <br />station is included, also submit design calculations. <br /> <br />Upon approval by the County Engineer, the Design Engineer must provide <br />the County with enough copies of the plans to submit to the State <br />agencies for their approval. The County will handle the submittals. <br />The County will need one copy, the North Carolina Department of <br />Transportation requires six copies of the portion of the plans showing <br />encroachments on their right-of-way and the Environmental <br />Management Division, requires three copies. <br /> <br />The Design Engineer must also supply the County with a completed copy <br />of the Non-Discharge Application and check list. <br /> <br />The Developer must furnish a check for $200.00 made out to the North <br />Carolina Department of Natural Resources and Community Development to <br />cover the application fee. <br /> <br />It is also necessary for the Developer to sign a Sewer Construction <br />Contract with the County or the Water and Sewer District. This <br />Contract must be approved by the proper Board at a regularly scheduled <br />meeting. <br /> <br />No construction shall begin on the project prior to the receipt of <br />approval from the County Engineer, the North Carolina Department of <br />Transportation, the North Carolina Department of Natural Resources and <br />Community Development, Environmental Management Division and the <br />approval of the Sewer Construction Contract. <br /> <br />In the event of a railroad crossing, the County will make the <br />application, but the Design Engineer will have to prepare the special <br />drawings required by the railroad. The Developer should be aware of <br />the additional time required to receive approval from the railroad. <br /> <br />The Contractor must submit and receive shop drawing approval on the <br />material and equipment to be used prior to the beginning of <br />construction. <br /> <br />DURING CONSTRUCTION <br />For inspection purposes the County will need two sets of construction <br />drawings produced after approval by the various governmental agencies <br />for inspection purposes. <br /> <br />It is the responsibility of the Developer or his representative to <br />notify the County 48 hours prior to beginning work on the project. <br /> <br />County forces will provide casual observation of the construction <br />project, but the certification for the Environmental Management <br />Division that the project was installed in accordance with the plans <br />and specifications must be provided by the Engineer representing the <br />Developer. <br /> <br />Upon completion of the project, the Developer, through his Engineer or <br /> <br /> <br />
