551 <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />G & S Metal Company, Inc. - Mechanical Work - Change Order <br />CA-10-M2 - Due to the fact that completion of this contract is <br />dependent upon completion of the General Contract, extension is <br />requested for twenty-one (21) days: from November 22, 1988, to <br />December 12, 1988, as per Owner's letter of approval dated <br />October 27, 1988. <br />Kannapolis Service Company, Inc., - Plumbing Contract - Change <br />Order CA-10-P2 - Due to the fact that completion of this contract <br />is dependent upon completion of the General Contract, extension <br />is requested for twenty-one (21) days: from November 22, 1988 to <br />December 12, 1988, as per Owner's letter of approval dated <br />October 27, 1988. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Moss and <br />unanimously carried, Board moved to reconsider the current $15,000.00 bond <br />for the Register of Deeds and to increase the bond to $50,000.00. <br /> Mr. Blair D. Bennett, Finance Director, presented the 1987-88 Annual <br />Audit to the Board. He reviewed the growth of Cabarrus County during the <br />past year and outlined the need for industrial development in the county. <br />In conclusion, Mr. Bennett challenged the Board to seek new revenue sources <br />to provide funding for future programs. <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Melvin and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved the following contract between the <br />Mecklenburg County Health Department and the Cabarrus County Health <br />Department. <br /> <br />CONTRACT <br /> <br />This agreement is made and entered into this the 5th day of December, 1988 <br />between Mecklenburg County Health Department and the Cabarrus County Health <br />Department for services as described below: <br /> <br />A. Scope of Services <br /> The Mecklenburg County Health Department agrees to provide the Fecal <br />Coliform Test to be run on water samples associated with package treatment <br />plants brought to the Mecklenburg County Public Health Laboratory by the <br />Cabarrus County Health Department. The Mecklenburg County Health <br />Department will mail the results to the Cabarrus County Health Department <br />as soon as the results are obtained from the analyst performing the tests. <br /> <br />B. Period of Agreement <br /> This agreement shall be effective on the date of execution and may be <br />amended or terminated at the mutual consent of both parties or terminated <br />by either party giving 30 days written notice. <br /> <br />Pa.]anent for Services <br />(1.) remuneration for services shall be at the rate of $10.00 per <br /> sample. <br />(2.)
