Ct. line item from the Social Services <br /> department and locate this program in the same departments as other mental <br /> health programs. <br /> <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Melvin, seconded by Commissioner Moss with <br />Commissioners Melvin and Moss and Chairman Lentz voting for, the Board appointed <br />Mr. Edwin Ferguson as an extraterritorial jurisdiction member on the Concord <br />Planning and Zoning Commission for a term of three years ending June 30, 1992. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br /> Mr. Perry St. John, Architect with Dennis Yates Associates, presented a <br />progress report on the Governmental Center and estimated the project to be 63 <br />percent complete. As a result of the default of Walter Carter, Inc., Mr. St. <br />John reported that bids had been solicited from four bondable electrical <br />contractors for the completion of the Governmental Center. He recommended that <br />the County enter into a contract with R. D. Franklin Electric of Concord for the <br />maximum cost of $390,000.00 to complete the electrical contract. He noted that <br />the difference between the amount remaining to be paid on the original <br />electrical contract ($223,188.00) and the actual cost to complete the electrical <br />work is to be paid to Cabarrus County by USF&G, the bonding company for Walter <br />Carter, Inc.
