181 <br /> <br /> The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus met in regular <br />session at the County Courthouse in Concord, North Carolina, on Monday, August <br />21, 1989, at 7:00 P.M. <br /> Present Chairman: James W. Lentz <br /> Commissioners: R. Giles Moss <br /> William G. Hamby, Jr. <br /> Martha H. Melvin <br /> Billy J. Simmons, Jr. <br /> The invocation was given by Reverend Jerry W. Townsend, Sr. of the Calvary <br />Baptist Church. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Moss, seconded by Commissioner Hamby and <br />unanimously carried, the minutes of July 24 and August 7, 1989, were approved <br />as written. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS CONSENT <br /> Mr. Charles Rust, resident of the Huntwick Subdivision and representing <br />the Southwest Gabarrus Community Association, and Ms. Marge Polland, resident <br />of Buckingham Lane, addressed the Board relative to street and drainage problems <br />in the Huntwick Subdivision. They asked that the Board delay approval of the <br />addition of the subdivision streets to the State secondary road system until the <br />developer completes the necessary repairs.
