213 <br /> <br /> Chairman Lentz removed the following items from the agenda: Appointment <br />to the Cabarrus Utilities Advisory Board, Appointment to the Jury Commission, <br />and the Resolution Authorizing the Disposition of Real Property. <br /> The following nominations were made for appointment to the Bicentennial <br />Committee. <br /> <br />Helen Arthur - Nominated by Commissioner Melvin <br />Edith Walker o Nominated by Commissioner Moss <br />Clarence E. Horton, Jr. - Nominated by Commissioner Hamby <br /> <br />Final nominations to this committee will be made at the meeting on October 2, <br />1989. <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Moss and <br />unanimously carried, the Board moved to go into Executive Session for <br />consultation with counsel and to discuss matters relating to personnel, location <br />or expansion of industries in the county, and the performance of an independent <br />contractor. <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Melvin and <br />unanimously carried, the executive session was terminated.
