The Contract, <br />which is hereby included by reference as a part of the minutes, will be in <br />effect and the following services delivered at five (5) fairs beginning October, <br />1989 and continuing through June 30, 1990. <br /> <br />Cabarrus Memorial Hospital (CMH) will deliver the lab package to <br />each participant, screening each for: Calcium, Phosphorus, Glucose, <br />BUN, Uric Acid, Cholesterol, Protein, Albumin, Bilirubin, Alkaline <br />Phosphatase, LDH, SGOT, T-4, White Blood Count, Red Blood Count, <br />Hemoglobin, Hematocrit, MCV, MCH, MCHC, Polys, Lymphs, Monocyles, <br />EOS, BASO, Polys (Absolute Value) Platelets, Urinalysis, Gross Exam, <br />Specific Gravity, PH, Urine Color Appearance, WBC, Erterase, <br />Protein, Glucose, Acetone, Occult Blood, Microscopic Examination, <br />if indicated with WBC/HBF, RBC/HPF, Epilhelial Cells Bacteria. Also <br />Pap Smear screening will be secured by CMH at a later date for <br />participants within two weeks of each fair. <br /> <br />The purchase and delivery price for all units of service ordered by <br />Purchaser shall be as follows: a unit price of $10.50 per <br />participant. <br /> <br />If the number of pap smears exceeds 20% or 107 units per year, CMH <br />shall bill the Purchaser a pap unit price of $5.00 in addition to <br />the unit price of $10.50 for each unit served above the 107 units. <br /> <br /> Mr. Michael M. Ruffin, County Manager, reminded the Board of the meeting <br />scheduled for 5:00 P.M. on Monday, September 25, 1989. At that time the revised <br />Cabarrus County Personnel Ordinance as recommended by the Personnel Committee <br />will be presented to the Board. <br /> Commissioner Melvin read the letter from Governor James G. Martin <br />announcing that the Cabarrus Soil and Water Conservation District will receive <br />grant funds in the amount of $79,851.00 for the protection of water quality in <br />Cabarrus County. The District will provide cost-share funds to farmers and <br />landowners who participate in the North Carolina Agriculture Cost-Share Program <br />for Nonpoint Source Pollution. <br /> <br /> <br />
