UPON MOTION of Commissioner Mynatt, seconded by Commissioner Shue and unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Robert Pierce, Jr., Sherrill Laney and Sanjay Mistry to the Industrial Facilities and Pollution Control Financing Authority for six -year terms ending January 10, 2022; including an exception to the "length of service" provision of the Appointment Policy for Mr. Pierce, Mr. Laney and Mr. Mistry. (I) REPORTS (I--1) Cabarrus County Tourism Authority - PY15 Year End Financial Report The Board received the Cabarrus County Tourism Authority - FY15 Year End Financial Report for informational purposes as part of the Agenda. No action was required of the Board. (I -2) County Manager - Monthly Reports on Building Activity The Board received the Cabarrus County Construction Standards Dodge Report for December 2015 and the Cabarrus County Commercial Building Plan Review Summary for December 2015 for informational purposes as part of the Agenda. No action was required of the Board. (I -3) EDC - December 2015 Monthly Summary Report The Board received the Cabarrus Economic Development Corporation (EDC) monthly report for the month of December as part of the Agenda. No action was required of the Board. (I -4) Finance - Monthly Financial Update The Board received the monthly financial update for informational purposes. No action was required of the Board. (I -5) BOC - Receive Updates from Commission Members Who Serve as Liaisons to Municipalities or on Various Boards /Committees None. (I -6) Request for Applications for County Boards /Committees Applications are being accepted for the following County Boards /Committees: • Active Living and Parks Commission - 3 Terms Expiring Soon • Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee - 5 Vacant Positions • Agricultural Advisory Committee - 2 Terms Expiring Soon • Concord Planning and Zoning Commission (ETJ) - 1 Vacant Position • Human Services Advisory Board -- 2 Terms Expiring Soon • Industrial Facilities and Pollution Control Financing Authority - 3 Terms Expiring Soon • Juvenile Crime Prevention Council - 2 Vacant Positions (Student under 1 &) • Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee - 7 Vacant Positions • Transportation Advisory Board - 1 Expired Term and 1 Vacant Position • Youth Commission - 6 Vacant Positions Chairman Morris reviewed the aforementioned list and urged citizens to consider participating on a Board or Committee. (J) GENERAL COMtvMNTS BY BOARD MEMBERS Commissioner Mynatt commented on the value of the many volunteers to appointed boards and committees, and their contributions to the community. Chairman Morris recognized Joseph Muhonen, new Cabarrus County Youth Commission appointee, in the audience.
