No action was required of the Board. <br />(I -6) BOC - Receive Updates from Commission Members Who Serve as Liaisons to <br />Municipalities or on Various Boards /Committees <br />Commissioner Mynatt reminded viewers to take the Community Survey, <br />posted on the County website. <br />Chairman Morris echoed Commissioner Mynatt's comments on the community <br />Survey, announcing the survey will be open through Monday, March 28th. He <br />also commented on the Library Services Survey. <br />(I -7) Request for Applications for County Boards /Committees <br />Applications are being accepted for the following County <br />Boards /Committees: <br />• Active Living and Parks Commission - I Vacant Position (Northwest <br />Area) <br />• Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee - 5 Vacant Positions <br />• Agricultural Advisory Committee - 2 Expired Terms <br />• Concord Planning and Zoning Commission (ETJ) - 1 Vacant Position <br />• Human Services Advisory Board - 1 Vacant Position <br />• Juvenile Crime Prevention Council - 2 Vacant Positions (Student <br />under 18) <br />• Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee - 7 Vacant Positions <br />• Transportation Advisory Board - 1 Expired Term and 1 Vacant Position <br />• Youth Commission - 4 Vacant Positions <br />Chairman Morris reviewed the aforementioned list and urged citizens to <br />consider participating on a Board or Committee. <br />(J) GENERAL COMMENTS BY HOARD MEMBERS <br />Commissioner Poole commented on "School at Work Week ", an initiative <br />allowing local 8th Graders to visit the County E -911 Center, Emergency <br />Management and Detention Center to learn about careers in Law Enforcement. <br />She also announced her two -year appointment by the Governor to serve as the <br />teacher representative on the North Carolina State Health Plan for Teachers <br />and State Employees Board of Trustees. <br />Commissioner Shue commented on his recent visit to Pepsi Bottling <br />Ventures in Harrisburg. He also welcomed Intertape Polymer Group (TPG) to <br />Cabarrus County and the Midland area. <br />(K) WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT OF CABARRUS COUNTY <br />None. <br />(L) CLOSED SESSION <br />(L -1) Closed Session - Pending Litigation <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Poole, seconded by Commissioner Mynatt and <br />unanimously carried, the Board moved to go into closed session to discuss <br />matters related to pending litigation as authorized by NCGS 143- 318.11(a)(3). <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Honeycutt, seconded by Commissioner Shue <br />and unanimously carried, the Board moved to come out of closed session. <br />(M) ADJOURNED <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Poole, seconded by Vice Chairman Honeycutt <br />and unanimously carried, the meeting adjourned at 8:13 p.m. <br />Megan it, Jerk to the Board <br />
