<br />Cabarrus County have reviewed the sealed bids and are recommending the bid be
<br />awarded to Ike's Construction.
<br />Due to PARTF Grant deadlines, Mr. Bil.afer requested the Board of
<br />Commissioners approve the bid award at the June work session and authorize
<br />the County Manager to execute the contract, subject to review or revision by
<br />the County Attorney. He also reviewed the following bid tabulation and
<br />responded to questions from the Board. Michael Miller, Assistant
<br />Infrastructure and Asset Management Director, was also in attendance.
<br />Pam Dubois, Senior Deputy County Manager, explained details of the
<br />budget revision.

<br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Honeycutt, seconded by Commissioner Mynatt
<br />and unanimously carried, the Board suspended its Rules of Procedures in order
<br />to take action on this item due to time constraints.
<br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Honeycutt, seconded by Commissioner Mynatt
<br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the contract between Cabarrus
<br />County and Ike's Construction for a total of $1,603,700.00 including the
<br />related budget revision and project ordinance; and authorized the County
<br />Manager to execute the contract on behalf of Cabarrus County, subject to
<br />review or revision by the County Attorney.
