July 18, 2016 (Regular Meeting) Page 2837 (H -3) Appointments Cabarrus County Tourism Authority UPON MOTION of Commissioner Mynatt, seconded by Commissioner Shue and unanimously carried, the Board removed Commissioner Poole from the Tourism Authority roster and thanked her for her many years of service. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Shue, seconded by Commissioner Mynatt and unanimously carried, the Board appointed Vice Chairman Honeycutt (BCC Member - Seat #4) to the Cabarrus-County Tourism Authority for an unexpired term ending June 30, 2018. (I) REPORTS (I -1) County Manager - Monthly New Development Report The Board received the monthly new development report for informational purposes as part of the Agenda. No action was required of the Board. (I -2) County Manager - Monthly Reports on Building Activity The Board received the Cabarrus County Construction Standards Dodge Report for June 2016 and the Cabarrus County Commercial Building Plan Review Summary for June 2016 for informational purposes as part of the Agenda. No action was required of the Board. (I -3) EDC - June 2016 Monthly Summary Report The Board received the Cabarrus Economic Development Corporation (EDC) monthly report for the month of June as part of the Agenda. No action was required of the Board. (I -4) Finance - Monthly Financial Update The Board received the monthly financial update for informational purposes as part of the Agenda. No action was required of the Board. (I -5) DOC - Receive Updates from Commission Members Who Serve as Liaisons to Municivalities or on Various Boards /Committees None. (I -6) Request for Applications for County Boards /Committees Applications are being accepted for the following County Boards /Committees: • Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee - 4 Vacant Positions • Cabarrus Planning and Zoning Commission - 3 Terms Expiring Soon • Concord Planning and Zoning Commission (ETJ) - Z Vacant Position • Human Services Advisory Board - I Vacant Position • Juvenile Crime Prevention Council -2 Vacant Positions (Student under 18) • Library Board of Trustees - 1 Term Expiring Soon (Midland) • Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee - 7 Vacant Positions • Region F Aging Advisory Committee - 2 Terms Expiring • Transportation Advisory Board - 2 Vacant Positions • Youth Commission - 3 Terms Expiring Soon and 4 Vacant Positions Chairman Morris reviewed the aforementioned list and urged citizens to consider participating on a Board or Committee. (J) GENERAL COMMENTS BY BOARD MEMBERS Chairman Morris commented on the Rob Wallace Park groundbreaking ceremony.
