Dctober 17, 2016 (Regular Meeting) Page 2938 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CABARRUS COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE TEXT2016- 00012, TEXT2016 -00013 BE IT ORDAINED that the Cabarrus Zoning Ordinance is hereby amended as follows: DELETE current Chapter 13, REPLACE with new Chapter 13 DELETE current Chapter 4, REPLACE with new Chapter 4 BE IT ALSO ORDAINED that the Cabarrus County Zoning Ordinance is hereby amended as follows: RENUMBER AND REVISE the Table of Contents and page numbers in the Cabarrus County Zoning Ordinance to correspond to the text changes. Smit, Clerk to the Board (H) APPOINTMENTS TO BOARDS AND COMMITTEES (H -1) Appointments - Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC) The terms of appointment for "At- large" Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC) members Hunter Moore and Angela ward expired September 30, 2016. Both are willing to serve another term. Ms. Ward has served on the JCPC since 2007. An exception to the "length of service" provision of the Appointment Policy will be needed for her. An application to serve on the JCPC has been received from Tressy McLean - Hickey. Ms. McLean - Hickey works at Cardinal Innovations as a System of Care Coordinator and is eligible to fill the vacant "Area Mental Health Director /Designee " position. She resides in Mecklenburg County. An exception to the "residency" provision of the Appointment Policy will be needed for her. UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Honeycutt, seconded by Commissioner Shue and unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Hunter Moore and Angela Ward to the JCPC as "At- large" representatives for two year terms ending September 30, 2018; including an exception to the "length of service" provision of the Appointment Policy for Ms. Ward. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Shue, seconded by Commissioner Mynatt and unanimously carried, the Board appointed Tressy McLean- Hickey to the JCPC as the "Area Mental Health Director/ Designee" representative for a two -year term ending September 30, 2018; including an exception to the "residency" provision of the Appointment Policy. (I) REPORTS (I -1) County Manager - Monthly New Development Report The Board received the monthly new development report for informational purposes. No action was required of the Board. (I -2) County Manager - Monthly Reports on Building Activity The Board received the Cabarrus County Construction Standards Dodge Report for September 2016 and the Cabarrus County Commercial Building Plan Review Summary for September 2016 for informational purposes as part of the Agenda. No action was required of the Board. (I -3) EDC - September 2616 Monthly Summary Report The Board received the Cabarrus Economic Development Corporation (EDC) monthly report for the month of September as part of the Agenda. No action was required of the Board.
