Dctober 17, 2016 (Regular Meeting) Page 2938 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CABARRUS COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE <br />TEXT2016- 00012, TEXT2016 -00013 <br />BE IT ORDAINED that the Cabarrus Zoning Ordinance is hereby amended as follows: <br />DELETE current Chapter 13, REPLACE with new Chapter 13 <br />DELETE current Chapter 4, REPLACE with new Chapter 4 <br />BE IT ALSO ORDAINED that the Cabarrus County Zoning Ordinance is hereby amended <br />as follows: <br />RENUMBER AND REVISE the Table of Contents and page numbers in the Cabarrus <br />County Zoning Ordinance to correspond to the text changes. <br />Adopted this 17t�l day of October, 2016 by the Cabarrus County Board of <br />Commissioners. <br />/s/ Stephen M. Smit, Clerk to the Board <br />(H) APPOINTMENTS TO BOARDS AND COMMITTEES <br />(H -1) Appointments - Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC) <br />The terms of appointment for "At- large" Juvenile Crime Prevention Council <br />(JCPC) members Hunter Moore and Angela ward expired September 30, 2016. Both <br />are willing to serve another term. Ms. Ward has served on the JCPC since <br />2007. An exception to the "length of service" provision of the Appointment <br />Policy will be needed for her. <br />An application to serve on the JCPC has been received from Tressy McLean - <br />Hickey. Ms. McLean - Hickey works at Cardinal Innovations as a System of Care <br />Coordinator and is eligible to fill the vacant "Area Mental Health <br />Director /Designee " position. She resides in Mecklenburg County. An exception <br />to the "residency" provision of the Appointment Policy will be needed for her. <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Honeycutt, seconded by Commissioner Shue and <br />unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Hunter Moore and Angela Ward to the <br />JCPC as "At- large" representatives for two year terms ending September 30, 2018; <br />including an exception to the "length of service" provision of the Appointment <br />Policy for Ms. Ward. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Shue, seconded by Commissioner Mynatt and <br />unanimously carried, the Board appointed Tressy McLean- Hickey to the JCPC as <br />the "Area Mental Health Director/ Designee" representative for a two -year term <br />ending September 30, 2018; including an exception to the "residency" provision <br />of the Appointment Policy. <br />(I) REPORTS <br />(I -1) County Manager - Monthly New Development Report <br />The Board received the monthly new development report for informational <br />purposes. No action was required of the Board. <br />(I -2) County Manager - Monthly Reports on Building Activity <br />The Board received the Cabarrus County Construction Standards Dodge Report <br />for September 2016 and the Cabarrus County Commercial Building Plan Review <br />Summary for September 2016 for informational purposes as part of the Agenda. <br />No action was required of the Board. <br />(I -3) EDC - September 2616 Monthly Summary Report <br />The Board received the Cabarrus Economic Development Corporation (EDC) <br />monthly report for the month of September as part of the Agenda. No action was <br />required of the Board. <br />
