November 21, 2016 (Regular Meeting) Page 2965 <br /> (H-1) Appointments and Removals - Cabarrus County Youth Commission <br /> Several members need to be removed from the Cabarrus County Youth <br /> Commission roster due to graduation from high school and/or expiration of terms. <br /> Due to scheduling conflicts and school workload, Youth Commission member, <br /> Alonnah Murphy, has resigned from her position on the Commission. <br /> The Cabarrus County Youth Commission has received applications for vacant <br /> positions and a letter of recommendation regarding a request for the following <br /> appointments: <br /> acie Eury A. L. Brown High School <br /> aya Williams Cox Mill High School <br /> um Imran Hickory Ridge High School <br /> Lauren Martin Hickory Ridge High School <br /> Julia Allen Mount Pleasant High School <br /> illiam Cason Nalbone t-large - Homeschool <br /> UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Honeycutt, seconded by Commissioner Mynatt <br /> and unanimously carried, the Board removed the following members from the <br /> Cabarrus County Youth Commission roster and thanked them for their <br /> service: Michael Coward, Lauren Trull, Cooper McAuley, Danika Ng, Alverez <br /> Nealy, II, Destine Thompson, Kristina Jones and Alonnah Murphy. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Mynatt, seconded by Commissioner Shue and <br /> unanimously carried, the Board appointed Macie Eury as an A. L. Brown High <br /> School representative; Amaya Williams as a Cox Mill High School representative; <br /> Anum Imran and Lauren Martin as a Hickory Ridge High School representatives; <br /> Julia Allen as a Mount Pleasant High School representative; and William Cason <br /> Nalbone as an At-large Homeschool representative. <br /> UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Honeycutt, seconded by Commissioner Shue and <br /> unanimously carried, the Board changed Joseph Muhonen's representation on the <br /> Youth Commission from Concord High School to Central Cabarrus High School for <br /> the remainder of his term. <br /> (I) REPORTS <br /> (I-1) County Manager - Monthly New Development Re ort <br /> The Board received the monthly new development report for informational <br /> purposes. No action was required of the Board. <br /> (I-2) County Manager - Monthly Reports on Building Activity <br /> The Board received the Cabarrus County Construction Standards Dodge Report <br /> for October 2016 and the Cabarrus County Commercial Building Plan Review Summary <br /> for October 2016 for informational purposes as part of the Agenda. No action <br /> was required of the Board. <br /> (I-3) EDC - October 2016 Monthly Summary Report <br /> The Board received the Cabarrus Economic Development Corporation (EDC) <br /> monthly report for the month of October as part of the Agenda. No action was <br /> required of the Board. <br /> (I-4) Finance - Monthly Financial Update <br /> The Board received the monthly financial update for informational <br /> purposes. No action was required of the Board. <br /> (I-5) Sheriff' s Office - Quarterly Report <br /> The Board received the Sheriff' s Office Quarterly Report for informational <br /> purposes. No action was required of the Board. <br /> (I-5) BOC - Receive Updates from Commission Members Who Serve as Liaisons to <br /> Municipalities or on Various Boards/Committees <br /> Vice Chairman Honeycutt announced the HollyDay Follies will be Tuesday, <br /> December 6th at the Cabarrus Arena and Events Center; the Active Living and <br /> Parks Department' s Seniors Christmas party will be on December 13th; and <br />
