Pleasant Planning Board and Board of Adjustment - 1 Vacant Position <br /> (Alternate) <br /> • Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee - 6 Vacant Positions <br /> • Senior Centers Advisory Council - 5 Terms Expiring Soon <br /> • Transportation Advisory Board - 2 Vacant Positions (Midland and Clergy) <br /> • Youth Commission - 3 Expired Terms and 4 Vacant Positions <br /> Chairman Morris reviewed the aforementioned list and urged citizens to <br /> consider participating on a Board or Committee. <br /> (J) General Comments by Board Members <br /> Chairman Morris commented on the Concord and Kannapolis Christmas Tree <br /> Lighting ceremonies and the Concord and Kannapolis Christmas parades. <br /> Chairman Morris recognized and introduced, Clay Maguire, Youth <br /> Commissioner representing Cannon High School, who was in attendance. <br /> County Manager Downs commented on the Christmas tree at Rotary Square, a <br /> joint project between the Concord Rotary Club, the City of Concord and Cabarrus <br /> County. <br /> (K) WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT OF CABARRUS COUNTY <br /> None. <br /> (L) CLOSED SESSION <br /> (L-1) Closed Session - Pending Litigation, Economic Development and Acquisition <br /> of Real Estate <br /> UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Honeycutt, seconded by Commissioner Mynatt <br /> and unanimously carried, the Board moved to go into closed session to discuss <br /> matters related to pending litigation, economic development and the acquisition <br /> of real estate as authorized by NCGS 143-318. 11 (a) (3) (4) and (5) . <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Mynatt, seconded by Commissioner Shue and <br /> unanimously carried, the Board moved to come out of closed session. <br /> Return to Open Session <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Morris, seconded by Commissioner Shue and <br /> unanimously carried, the Board moved to order the Agricultural Advisory Board <br /> to call a special meeting to evaluate the validity of the agreement between the <br /> County and Mr. Paul Faggart and to determine any legal issues relating to the <br /> attempt by his heirs to withdraw from the enhanced agricultural district no <br /> later than Monday, November 28, 2016 before 5:00 p.m. <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Morris, seconded by Vice Chairman Honeycutt and <br /> unanimously carried, the Board moved to approve the purchase of the Fennell <br /> property at the corner of Spring Street and Corban Avenue for $260, 000.00, all <br /> inclusive of any fees and payments due to his tenants and authorized the County <br /> Manager to execute the agreement subject to review and revision by the County <br /> Attorney. <br /> (M) ADJOURN <br />
