He also expressed appreciation to the Clerk for her <br /> service to Cabarrus County and announced today is Ms. Smit' s last day of <br /> employment. <br /> Updates on Current Events and Impacts <br /> A representative from each group shared a brief update on current events <br /> in their jurisdiction. <br /> Dinner Break <br /> The Board took a dinner break at 6:24 p.m. The meeting resumed at 6:58 <br /> p.m. <br /> Perspectives on Mental Health <br /> Building a Mental Health Vocabulary <br /> Nancy Woodard of Mental Health America presented a PowerPoint presentation <br /> titled "Building a Mental Health Vocabulary - MH101". The presentation included <br /> the following topics: <br /> • Mental Health America of Central Carolinas <br /> • What keeps individuals from seeking the professional treatment they need? <br /> • Recovery is Possible <br /> • What is a Mental Health Disorder? <br />
