January 20, 2015 (Regular Meeting) <br />GENERAL C01d+4ENTS BY BOARD MEMBERS <br />Page 2270 <br />Vice Chairman Poole requested the County Attorney provide an update on <br />research conducted on behalf of the Board. <br />Richard Koch, County Attorney, provided a brief update to the Board on <br />the status of local regulation of bio- solids. He reported he found no ability <br />of the Board of Commissioners to enact an ordinance to regulate bio - solids, <br />because the right belonged to the State under the rule of preemption. <br />Vice Chairman Poole requested continued updates on the process with the <br />sewage sludge issue. <br />County Manager Mike Downs advised the state is nearly finished <br />reviewing the application, and will create the draft permit before proceeding <br />to hold the public hearing. he advised the County has offered up their <br />facilities for the hearing. <br />WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT OF CAB =US COUNTY <br />None. <br />(L) CLOSED SESSION <br />None. <br />(M) ADJOURN <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Poole, seconded by Commissioner Honeycutt <br />and unanimously carried, the meeting adjourned at 7 :32 p.m. <br />Megan S 't, perk to the Board <br />
