January 29, 2015 (Cabarrus Summit 2015) Page 2272 <br />David Pugh, Midland Town Administrator, provided a brief summary of the <br />opportunities that were posted on the wail. Commissioner Lynn Shue provided a <br />brief summary of the challenges posted on the wall. The facilitators asked the <br />two group representatives to combine the opportunities and challenges into <br />categories. <br />The combined groupings fell under five categories: collaboration, <br />economic development, funding, planning and transportation. Pam Dubois, Senior <br />Deputy County Manager and Brian Hiatt, Concord City Manager, reviewed the <br />combined groupings aloud. <br />The guests were once again placed into groups to discuss the topics of <br />getting started and addressing next steps. The groups reported their <br />suggestions, and many voiced favor for similar collaborative meetings in the <br />future. <br />(M) ADJOURN <br />UPON MOTION of Chairman Morris, seconded by Vice Chairman Poole and <br />unanimously carried, the meeting adjourned at 9;23 p.m. <br />Megan Smi , Clerk to the Board <br />
