February 19, 2015 (Evening Retreat) Page 2301 <br />Out of the responses, five surfaced as the most repeated responses from <br />groups. The facilitator suggested these five responses be adopted as "rules of <br />engagement" between the boards. The five responses were; share a common goal, <br />place service above self, communication is integral, respect one another and <br />leadership. <br />A brief discussion ensued regarding definition of the terms and <br />implementation of them. <br />Ms. Dixson recommended the list be applied as a framework for each <br />interaction between the boards, and that the definition of the terms could be <br />somewhat modified to fit each interaction and situation. She added this model <br />of engagement will encourage discussion and renew commitment to work together. <br />Chairman Morris expressed appreciation to all for attending and <br />contributing throughout the evening.
