May 18, 2015 (Regular Meeting) Page 2401 <br />Resignations have been received from Rod Campany and Charles Mitchell. <br />By resigning, they leave open two unexpired terms ending December 31, 2017. <br />It is requested that they be formally removed from the Cabarrus County Senior <br />Centers Advisory Council roster and appointments be made to fill their <br />vacancies. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Honeycutt, seconded by Vice Chairman Poole <br />and unanimously carried, the Board removed Rod Campany and Charles Mitchell <br />from the Cabarrus County Senior Centers Advisory Council roster. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Honeycutt, seconded by Commissioner Mynatt <br />and unanimously carried, the Board appointed Margaret Dorton and Jerry Anne <br />Phillips to the Cabarrus County Senior Centers Advisory Council to complete <br />unexpired terms ending December 31, 2017. <br />(H -2) Appointments (Removal) - Library Board of Trustees <br />A resignation was received from Ann Holland. It is requested that Ms. <br />Holland be formally removed from the Library Board of Trustees roster. Ms. <br />Holland's resignation leaves a vacancy for a Midland representative with a <br />term expiring July 31, 2016. Midland residents are encouraged to apply to <br />this vacancy. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Mynatt, seconded by Vice Chairman Poole and <br />unanimously carried, the Board removed Ann Holland from the Library Board of <br />Trustees roster and thanked her for her service. <br />(H -3) Appointments and Removals - Watershed Improvement Commission <br />An application to serve on the Watershed Improvement Commission has <br />been received from Thomas Smith. <br />Commission member Armistead Eugene Divine has passed away. It is <br />requested to remove his name from the roster. <br />At the March 17, 2015 meeting of the Watershed Improvement Commission, <br />the members voted unanimously to recommend Thomas Smith to be appointed to <br />the position formally held by Mr. Divine. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Shue, seconded by Commissioner Honeycutt <br />and unanimously carried, the Board appointed Thomas Smith to the Watershed <br />Improvement Commission for a six --year term ending May 31, 2021. By the same <br />motion, the Board removed Armistead Eugene Divine from the Watershed <br />Improvement Commission roster, recognizing his many years of service. <br />(H -4) Appointments and Removals - Transportation Advisory Board <br />Tony Harris, Safety and Risk Manager, submitted his resignation to the <br />Transportation Advisory Board due to his resignation from his position with <br />Cabarrus County. <br />An application for the Transportation Advisory Board has been received <br />from Andy Yoos, Cabarrus County Safety & Risk Coordinator. Mr. Yoos is <br />recommended to be appointed to complete the unexpired term for the County <br />Safety Manager position. <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Poole, seconded by Commissioner Honeycutt <br />and unanimously carried, the Board removed Tony Harris from the <br />Transportation Advisory Board roster and thanked him for his service. By the <br />same motion, the Board appointed Andy Yoos to the Transportation Advisory <br />Board as the County Safety Manager representative to complete an unexpired <br />term ending June 30, 2015_ <br />(I) REPORTS <br />(I -1) County Manager - Monthly Reports on Building Activity <br />The Board received the Cabarrus County Construction Standards Dodge <br />Report for April 2015 and the Cabarrus County Commercial Building Plan Review <br />Summary for April 2015 for informational purposes as part of the Agenda.
