No <br />action was required of the Board. <br />(I -3) EDC - July 2015 Monthly Summary Report <br />The Board received the Cabarrus Economic Development Corporation (EDC) <br />monthly report for the month of July as part of the Agenda. No action was <br />required of the Board. <br />(I -4) Finance - MonthlX Financial. Update <br />The Board received the monthly financial update for informational <br />purposes. No action was required of the Board. <br />(I -5) BOC - Receive Updates from Commission Members Who Serve as Liaisons to <br />Municipalities or on Various Boards /Committees <br />None. <br />(I -6) Request for Applications for County Boards /Committees <br />.Applications are being accepted for the following County <br />Boards /Committees: <br />• Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee - b Vacant Positions <br />• Cabarrus County Planning and Zoning Commission - 4 Positions <br />Expiring Soon and 1 Vacant Position (Kannapolis Area) <br />• Concord Planning and Zoning Commission (ETJ) - 1 Vacant Position <br />• Juvenile Crime Prevention Council - S Terms Expiring Soon and 2 <br />Vacant Positions <br />• Library Board of Trustees - 2 Expired Terms and 1 Vacant Position <br />(Midland Area) <br />• Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee - 7 Vacant Positions <br />• Transportation Advisory Board - 1 Expired Term and 4 Vacant <br />Positions <br />• Youth Commission - 10 Vacant Positions <br />Chairman Morris reviewed the aforementioned list and urged citizens to <br />consider participating on a Board or Committee. <br />(J) GENERAL COMMENTS BY HOARD MEMBERS <br />Commissioner Shue reminded that Monday is the first day of school and <br />urged citizens to drive with caution. <br />Chairman Morris announced new library hours will begin Tuesday, <br />September 6, and noted all branches will be open 6 days a week. He also <br />reviewed performance data from the Transportation Division and commended <br />Information Technology Services (ITS) staff for their ongoing support of <br />transportation services. <br />(K) WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT OF CABARRUS COUNTY <br />None. <br />(L) CLOSED SESSION <br />(L -1) Closed Session - Pending Litigation and Economic Development <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Honeycutt, seconded by Commissioner Mynatt <br />and unanimously carried, the Board moved to go into closed session to discuss <br />matters related to pending litigation and economic development as authorized <br />by NCGS 143- 318.11(a)(3) and (4). Jonathan Marshall was invited into the <br />closed session. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Mynatt, seconded by Commissioner Honeycutt, <br />the Board moved to come out of closed session. <br />(M) ADJOURNED <br />
