Fearrington <br />Printed Name of Chairperson <br />(G -3) Tax Administration - Presentation of the Schedule of Values for the <br />2016 Revaluation - Public Hearincr 6:30 P.M. <br />Chairman Morris opened the public hearing at 6.57 p.m. The Public <br />Hearing Notice was published on October 7, 2015 in The Independent Tribune. <br />The Public Hearing Notice was also posted on the County's website <br />( www.cabarrus county. us ) on October 7, 2015 in accordance with Article 2, <br />Administration, Section 2.1 (Use of Electronic Means to Provide Public <br />Notices) of the Cabarrus County Code of Ordinances. <br />Paula Markonic, resident of 3908 Balmoral Avenue in Harrisburg, <br />requested information on how valuations are conducted in Cabarrus County. <br />Chairman Morris advised Ms. Markonic of the availability of staff to <br />meet with her to answer her questions. <br />There was no one else present to address the Board; therefore, Chairman <br />Morris closed the public hearing. <br />No further action was required of the Board. <br />A brief discussion ensued regarding the publishing of public hearing <br />notices. <br />APPOINTMENTS TO BOARDS AND COMMITTEES <br />(H -1) Appointments - Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee <br />Applications have been received to serve on the Adult Care Home <br />Community Advisory Committee from Ms. Lillian Brightman and Ms. Diane <br />Carlson. Both applicants have been prequalified by the Regional Ombudsman <br />and are eligible to be appointed for initial one -year terms. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Honeycutt, seconded by Commissioner Shue <br />and unanimously carried, the Board appointed Lillian Brightman and Diane <br />Carlson to the Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee for one -year <br />terms ending October 31, 2016. <br />(H -2) Appointments and Removals - Active Living and Parks Commission <br />The Active Living and Parks Commission received resignations from <br />commission members Andy Coley, the Midland area representative, and John <br />DeVitto, the Mount Pleasant area representative. It is requested to formally <br />remove them from the roster, thank them for their service and seek <br />appointments for their unexpired terms. <br />Chris Furr submitted an application and qualified as a Midland area <br />representative. Applications are still being accepted for the Mount Pleasant <br />area. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Honeycutt, seconded by Commissioner Mynatt <br />and unanimously carried, the Board removed Andy Coley and John DeVitto from <br />the Active Living and Parks Commission roster and thanked them for their <br />service. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Mynatt, seconded by Commissioner Shue and <br />unanimously carried, the Board appointed Chris Furr to the Active Living and <br />Parks Commission as a "Midland Area" representative to complete an unexpired <br />term ending January 31, 2016. <br />(I) REPORTS <br />(I -1) County Manager - Monthly Reports on Building Activity <br />The Board received the Cabarrus County Construction Standards Dodge <br />Report for September 2015 and the Cabarrus County Commercial Building Plan <br />
