Morris, Chairman <br />ATTEST: <br />/s/ Megan Smit <br />Clerk to the Board <br />(F -11) Salisbury -Rowan Community Action Agency, Inc. - Presentation of FY <br />16 -17 Application for Funding <br />Representatives from the Salisbury -Rowan Community Action Agency, Inc. <br />(SRCCA) presented their FY 2016 --17 Application for Funding at the work <br />session. This agency provides services for economically disadvantaged <br />citizens in Cabarrus and Rowan Counties. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Mynatt, seconded by Vice Chairman Honeycutt <br />and unanimously carried, the Board acknowledged receipt of the SRCAA's FY <br />2016 -17 Community Services Block Grant funding application. <br />(F -12) Sheriff's Office - Appropriate Fund Balance for the 911 Emergency <br />Telephone System Fund <br />The Sheriff's Office is requesting to appropriate fund balance for the <br />purchase and installation of three radio dispatch consoles. Included with <br />this request, additional funds are also needed for the purchased services <br />line item for the contracts associated with the operations of the 911 system <br />(the original budget was under- estimated) . This fund has sufficient fund <br />balance to appropriate for these expenditures. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Mynatt, seconded by Vice Chairman Honeycutt <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the budget amendment. <br />Date: 11 /18/2015 Amount: $148, 4 60. 00 <br />Dept. A RFB (Request for Bids) was advertised for a Ford Sedan <br />Police Interceptor Vehicle. <br />The only bid received came from Hilbish Motor Company in Kannapolis, <br />NC. That bid was $24,957.74 for the Ford Sedan Police Interceptor. The <br />Sheriff's Office would like to use the bid from Hilbish Ford and to purchase <br />13 sedans at a cost of $324,450.62. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Mynatt, seconded by Vice Chairman Honeycutt <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the bid award with Hilbish Motor <br />Company and authorized the Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office to purchase 13 <br />Ford Sedan Police Interceptor Vehicles for a cost of $324,450.62. <br />(F -14) Sheriff's Office - Purchase of Unified Network Services (UNS) Server <br />As a part of the Charlotte R.A.D.I.O. (Regional Advanced Digital Inter - <br />Operable) network, Cabarrus County currently operates a 5 -site, 12- channel <br />P25 overlay for voice. In a request from the County, Motorola is proposing <br />the addition of the unified network services (UNS) server to provide a <br />Customer Enterprise Network (CEN) which would allow for the connection of a <br />mapping application. Further detail on the purchase is attached in the quote <br />provided by Motorola. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Mynatt, seconded by Vice Chairman Honeycutt <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved $89,476.00 from the Law <br />Enforcement Construction Fund to be utilized for the purchase of this server, <br />
