Morris, Chairman <br />Board of Commissioners <br />(F -3) Community Transportation Service Plan <br />The NCDOT Public Transportation Division requires all Community <br />Transportation Systems to complete a five year Community Transportation <br />Service Plan. This plan addresses future growth and service needs within the <br />County. <br />NCDOT contracted Atkins Global to work with Cabarrus County and its <br />partners to create the plan. A steering committee began work in April of <br />2015 gathering data and prioritizing community needs. Atkins Global has <br />created a plan with recommendations to meet the needs of the community. <br />Cabarrus County Transportation, along with Atkins Global, will present key <br />highlights of the plan, focused on service delivery and operations. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Mynatt, seconded by Vice Chairman Honeycutt <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the Community Services <br />Transportation Plan. <br />(F -4) County Manager - Donation of Two Surplus EMS Units <br />Cabarrus County Schools and the Cabarrus County Convention and Visitors <br />Bureau have requested that the County donate two surplus EMS units to them. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Mynatt, seconded by vice Chairman Honeycutt <br />and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following resolution. <br />Resolution No. 20115 -28 <br />Resolution Authorizing Donation of Personal Property <br />(Surplus Ambulances) <br />WHEREAS, Cabarrus County is the owner of two Emergency Medical Services <br />ambulance units that have been declared surplus based on mileage and hours of <br />use; and <br />WHEREAS, N.C. Gen. Stat. § 160A -260 permits the County to donate <br />personal property to other governmental units as defined in N.C. Gen. Stat. § <br />160A- 274(a); and <br />WHEREAS, the Cabarrus County Convention and Visitors Bureau and <br />Cabarrus County Schools have each requested one of the surplus EMS units; <br />THEREFORE, THE CABARRUS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS RESOLVES THAT; <br />1. The County Commissioners authorize the donation of one of these <br />ambulance units to each of the two requesting governmental units per <br />the requirements of N.C. Gen. Stat. § 160A -280; and <br />
