<br />The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus met in recessed
<br />session in the Multipurpose Room at the Cabarrus County Governmental Center
<br />in Concord, North Carolina on Saturday, February 25, 2014 at 8:30 a.m.

<br />Also present were Mike Downs, County Manager; Jonathan Marshall, Deputy
<br />County Manager; Pam Dubois, Deputy County Manager and Megan Smit, Clerk to
<br />the Board.
<br />Chairman Poole called the meeting to order at 8:33 a.m.
<br />Welcome and Introductory Remarks
<br />County Manager Mike Downs welcomed staff and guests to the Governmental
<br />Center and reviewed the retreat agenda for the day.
<br />Projected Revenues - 2015 / 2016 Revaluation
<br />Brent Weisner, Tax Administrator, presented an overview of the
<br />revaluation process. He described the point -based system versus the grading
<br />system and explained the benefits of using Pictometry for revaluation and
<br />assessment purposes.
<br />During the presentation, Mr. Weisner addressed the following
<br />information and responded to a variety of questions from the Board. Chris
<br />Ferriss, Real Property Manager and David Thrift, Real Property Supervisor,
<br />were also in attendance.
