(H -6) Appointments - Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC) LaShay Avery has resigned from her position on the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC) as the "Area Mental Health Director /Designee" representative. It is requested to remove her name for the JCPC roster. A letter was received from Anna Yon, Executive Director, Cardinal Innovations Healthcare Solutions, recommending Deirdre Webb to fill this position. At its January 15, 2014 meeting, the JCPC voted to recommend Deirdre Webb to complete the unexpired term vacated by LaShay Avery as the "Area Mental Health Director /Designee" representative. Ms. Webb resides in Mecklenburg County and an exception to the "residency" provision of the Appointment Policy will be needed for her. UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Burrage, seconded by Commissioner Cesterreich and unanimously carried, the Board removed LaShay Avery from the JCPC roster and thanked her for her service. By the same motion, the Board appointed Deirdre Webb to the JCPC as the "Area Mental Health Director /Designee " representative to complete an unexpired term ending September 30, 2014; including an exception to the "residency" provision of the Appointment Policy. (I) REPORTS (I -1) Cabarrus County Schools (CCS) - One -Time Funding Update The Board received the Cabarrus County Schools One -Time Funding Update Report for informational purposes as part of the Agenda. Innovations Healthcare Solutions - Semi - Annual Report for wy ?n1 - A/9n1 n The Board received the Cardinal Innovations Healthcare Solutions' Semi - Annual Report for FY2013/2014 for informational purposes as part of the Agenda. No action was required of the Board. (I -3) County Manager - Monthly Reports on Building Activity The Board received the Cabarrus County Construction Standards Dodge Report for January 2014 and the Cabarrus County Commercial Building Plan Review Summary for January 2014 for informational purposes as part of the Agenda. No action was required of the Board. (I -4) EDC January Monthly Summary Re art The Board received the Cabarrus Economic Development Corporation (EDC) monthly report for the month of January as part of the Agenda. No action was required of the Board. (I -5) Register of Deeds - Fourth Quarter Records. Report The Board received the Register of Deeds' Fourth Quarter Records Report as part of the Agenda. No action was required of the Board. (I -6) BOC - Receive Updates from Commission Members Who Serve as Liaisons to Municipalities or on Various Board /Committees Commissioner Oesterreich reviewed progress made by the Home and Community Care Block Grant Committee (HCCBG); he also thanked Bobby Smith and Emergency Services for their response during the recent snow storm. Commissioner Morris updated the Board on his recent meeting with the Transportation Advisory Board. He also announced the upcoming Juvenile Crime Prevention Council Annual Legislative Breakfast.
