Smit, Clerk to the Board <br />In reference to the issuance of Charter School Revenue Bonds for <br />Cabarrus Charter Academy, Vice Chairman Burrage commented, as clarification <br />for the public, the bonds are not being paid for by Cabarrus County. <br />(G -3) Planning and Development - Proposed Text Amendments to Zoning <br />Ordinance (TEXT2014- 00005) - Public Hearing 6:30 P.M. <br />Susie Morris, Planning and Zoning Manager, presented proposed text <br />amendments to the Cabarrus County Zoning Ordinance (TEXT2014- 00005) . She <br />reviewed changes made to the amendments since the May work session and <br />responded to questions from the Board. <br />Chairman Poole opened the public hearing at 7:22 p.m. The Public <br />Hearing Notice was published on May 7 and 14, 2014 in The Independent <br />Tribune. The Public Hearing Notice was also posted on the County's website <br />( www.cabarruscounty.us ) on May 7, 2014 in accordance with Article 2, <br />Administration, Section 2.1 (Use of Electronic Means to Provide Public <br />Notices) of the Cabarrus County Code of ordinances. <br />There was no one present to address the Board; therefore Chairman Poole <br />closed the public hearing. <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Burrage, seconded by Commissioner Morris <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved proposed changes to Chapter 2 and <br />Chapter 8 of the Cabarrus County Zoning Ordinance. <br />Ordinance No. 2014 -10 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CABARRUS COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE <br />TEXT2014 -00005 <br />BE IT ORDAINED that the Cabarrus County Zoning Ordinance is hereby amended as <br />follows: <br />Chapter 2, Rules of Construction and Definitions, shall be AMENDED TO ADD: <br />• SOLAR FARM - Large collections of solar panels that work together to <br />capture sunlight and turn it into electricity. <br />• SOLAR PANEL - A panel designed to absorb the sun's rays as a source of <br />
