<br />The Manager proposed $56,928 as part of the original FY15 proposed
<br />budget. Therefore, he now recommends funding an additional $57,381 in the
<br />aforementioned categories.
<br />Chairman Poole thanked County and CHA staff for providing the details.
<br />She offered a personal apology to Dr. Pilkington in regards to any
<br />misunderstanding during discussion of the school nurse funding. She also
<br />expressed support for school nurse funding as proposed in the budget.
<br />Mike Downs, County Manager, announced the availability of the
<br />department heads to answer any questions.
<br />Jonathan Marshall, Deputy County Manager, presented a brief overview of
<br />the budget presentation process. He stated Construction Standards, Planning
<br />and Zoning and Emergency Management are requesting fee schedule changes as
<br />presented at the work session.
<br />Kelly Sifford reviewed options regarding the fee schedule changes for
<br />Construction Standards. She advised a decision is needed in order to make
<br />necessary changes in the system by July 1 She also presented information
<br />regarding a request for a new position for a plan reviewer and responded to
<br />questions from the Board.
<br />Commissioner Oesterreich MOVED to leave the Planning and Zoning, Fire
<br />Marshal and Construction Standards fee schedules as they are without changes.

<br />Boards` budget discussion, but before the Board votes, to allow for informed

<br />Hearing Notice was published on May 25, 2014 in The Independent Tribune. The
<br />Public Hearing Notice was also posted on the County's website
<br />( www. cabarrus county. us ) on April 21, 2014 in accordance with Article 2,
<br />Administration, Section 2.1 (Use of Electronic :Means to Provide Public
<br />Notices) of the Cabarrus County Code of Ordinances.
