<br />A discussion ensued with Dr. Spalding and Ms. Spriggs responding to a
<br />variety of questions from the Board.
<br />Commissioner Morris expressed support for the downtown Kannapolis
<br />location for the Cosmetology Campus.
<br />Commissioner Morris MOVED to approve the Rowan - Cabarrus Community
<br />College project immediately to move forward as proposed on the Cannon Village
<br />site. Commissioner Measmer seconded the motion.
<br />Commissioner Cesterreich clarified he is only voting for the budget
<br />amendment and not the budget ordinance at this time.
<br />Chairman Poole clarified the motion on the table, as requested on the
<br />Agenda item, is to approve the revised Construction and Renovation Project
<br />Ordinance and the related budget amendment. Commissioner Morris responded
<br />affirmatively.
<br />Following a brief discussion, the MOTION carried, with Vice Chairman
<br />Burrage and Commissioners Measmer, Morris and Oesterreich voting for and
<br />Chairman Poole voting against.

<br />CABARRUS COUNTY CONSTRUCTION AND RENOVATION PROJECT
<br />BUDGET ORDINANCE
<br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of Cabarrus County, North
<br />Carolina that, Pursuant to Section 13.2 of Chapter 159 of the General
<br />Statutes of North Carolina, the following capital project ordinance is hereby
<br />adopted:
<br />Section I.
<br />A. The project authorized is the various County construction and
<br />renovation related projects. Details of the projects are listed in
<br />section C_ of this Project Ordinance.
