August 18, 2014 (Regular Meeting) Page 2145 <br />WHEREAS, the Cabarrus County Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a <br />contract with the Department of Transportation and execute all agreements and <br />contracts with the North Carolina Department of Transportation, Public <br />Transportation Division; <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Cabarrus County agrees to adopt the <br />Community Transportation Service Plan (CTSP) upon its completion; and agrees <br />to support and implement the plan's recommendations for growth and <br />possibilities in accordance with the implementation schedule and timeline <br />delineated in the plan and depending upon the availability of funding at the <br />local, state and federal levels. <br />Adopted this 18th day of August, 2014. <br />/s/ Elizabeth F. Smit, Clerk to the Board <br />(F -4) Infrastructure and Asset Management - Emer enc y Hydrants for Northeast <br />Volunteer Fire Department <br />At the November 2013 work session and regular meeting, the Board of <br />Commissioners were presented a proposal for the installation of emergency <br />fire hydrants in the Northeast Volunteer Fire District. The Board of <br />Commissioners, by consensus, directed staff to pursue the planning and <br />installation of two emergency hydrants at an estimated cost of $20,000.00 per <br />hydrant. Discussion and planning for this project has continued including <br />proposed design and installation changes from Northeast VFD that would reduce <br />the per hydrant cost and permit additional installations as well as possible <br />fire sprinkler service to the VFD building. The Board of Commissioners' <br />consensus included a possible cost of $40,000.00 and this request is for a <br />budget amendment to move those funds from contingency to a multi -year fund <br />for the planning, engineering and construction of this project. <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Burrage, seconded by Commissioner Morris <br />and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following budget amendment: <br />Date. 7/25/2014 Amount: $40, 000 <br />Dept. Refund <br />report is a summary sheet which lists data from each refund request form, <br />along with the justification for the refunds to the taxpayers in accordance <br />with N.C.G.S. 105 -381. <br />
