October 5, 2034 (Work Session) <br />Page 2175 <br />The Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office budgeted $270,000.00 for ten <br />(10) police vehicles for FY 2015. A RFB (Request for Bids) was <br />advertised for a Ford Sedan Police Interceptor Vehicle and a Ford <br />Utility Police Vehicle. The bid from Hilbish Motor Company in <br />Kannapolis, NC was $24,175.00 for the sedan and $26,605.00 for <br />the utility. One other bid came in from Cloninger Ford in <br />Hickory, NC and their amounts were $24,460.01 for the sedan and <br />$26,740.01 for the utility. The Sheriff's Office would like to <br />use the bid from Hilbish Ford and purchase six (6) sedans at a <br />cost of $145,050.00 and four (4) utility vehicles at a cost of <br />$106,420.00.
