She swished everyone a Merry <br />Christmas. <br />Commissioner Shue thanked supporters. He also wished everyone a Merry <br />Christmas and Happy New Year. <br />Commissioner Honeycutt provided a brief update of her trip to <br />Harrisburg Elementary School for an "hour of code ". She also wished everyone <br />a blessed holiday. <br />Chairman Morris acknowledged employees who were recognized earlier in <br />the afternoon at the employee recognition service. He also recognized <br />Elizabeth Saffrit, Miss United States of America, and congratulated her on <br />her achievements. <br />(K) WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT OF CABARRUS COUNTY <br />None. <br />(L) CLOSED SESSION <br />1) Closed Session - Personnel Matters <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Shue, seconded by Vice Chairman Poole and <br />unanimously carried, the Board moved to go into closed session to discuss a <br />personnel matter(s) as authorized by NCGS 193 - 318.11(x)(6). <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Poole, seconded by Commissioner Shue and <br />unanimously carried, the Board moved to come out of closed session. <br />Return to Open Session <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Poole, seconded by Commissioner Honeycutt <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved a 7.5 percent salary increase for <br />County Manager Mike Downs. <br />(M) ADJOURN <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Poole, seconded by Commissioner Honeycutt <br />and unanimously carried, the meeting adjourned at 10:02 p.m. <br />Mega mit, Clerk to the Board <br />
