<br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Shue, seconded by Commissioner Honeycutt
<br />and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following resolution.
<br />Resolution No. 2014 -26
<br />RESOLUTION
<br />ESTABLISHING THE REGULAR MEETING SCHEDULE
<br />FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2015
<br />WHEREAS, the regular agenda work sessions of the Cabarrus County Board
<br />Of Commissioners are currently held on the first Monday of each month at 4:00
<br />p.m. in the Multipurpose Room at the Governmental Center; and
<br />WHEREAS, the regular meetings of the Board of Commissioners are held on
<br />the third Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Commissioners' Meeting
<br />Room at the Governmental Center; and
<br />WHEREAS, the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday requires a change in the
<br />regular meeting date in January 2015 and the Christmas holiday requires a
<br />change in the regular meeting date in December 2015; and
<br />WHEREAS, the Easter holiday requires a change in the agenda work
<br />session meeting date in April 2015, the Labor Day holiday requires a change
<br />in the agenda work session meeting date in September 2015, and the Christmas
<br />holiday requires a change in the agenda work session meeting date in December
<br />2015; and
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Cabarrus County Board of
<br />Commissioners, pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 153A- 40(a), does
<br />hereby:
<br />(1) Establish the Board's regular agenda work session schedule to
<br />meet at 4:00 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room at the Governmental
<br />Center on the following dates:
<br />January 5, 2015
<br />July 6, 2015
<br />February 2, 2015
<br />August 3, 2015
<br />March 2, 2015
<br />September 8, 2015 (Tuesday)
<br />April 7, 2015 (Tuesday)
<br />October 5, 2015
<br />May 4, 2015
<br />November 2, 2015
<br />June 1, 2015
<br />December 1, 2015 (Tuesday)
<br />(2) Establish the Board's regular
<br />meeting schedule to meet at 6:30
<br />p.m. in the Commissioner's

<br />(3) Sets a NCACC Legislative Goals Conference in Pinehurst, North
<br />Carolina on January 15 - 16, 2015; and
<br />(4) Sets the Cabarrus Summit 2015 at the Cabarrus Arena and Events
<br />Center on January 29, 2015 at 5:30 p.m.; and
<br />(5) Sets a Board retreat, in the Multipurpose Room at the
<br />Governmental Center on January 30 at 4:00 p.m. and January 31,
<br />2015 at 8 :00 a.m.; and
<br />(6) Sets the NACo Legislative Conference in Washington, DC, on
<br />February 21 -25, 2015; and
<br />(7) Sets a Strategic Planning Session for a one -day retreat, in the
<br />Multipurpose Room on March 23, 2014 at 8:00 a.m.
<br />(8) Sets the NCACC County Assembly Day and Legislative Reception in
<br />Raleigh on May 6, 2015; and
<br />(9) Sets budget workshop meetings on May 26 and 28, 2015 from 4 :00
<br />p.m. in the Multipurpose Room in the Governmental Center; and
