<br />Based on the foregoing statements and considerations, IT IS HEREBY
<br />RESOLVED BY THE CABARRUS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS by majority vote as
<br />follows:
<br />1. The existing Cabarrus County Board of Social Services is abolished,
<br />effective July 1, 2013, with thanks to the existing members of that
<br />board for their services; and
<br />2. A County (consolidated) Human Services Agency is hereby created,
<br />consisting of the employees of the existing Department of Social
<br />Services, the Department of Aging and the Department of
<br />Transportation, with consolidation of these three departments to be
<br />effective July 1, 2013; and
<br />3. The governing body for this (consolidated) Human Services Agency
<br />will be the Board of Commissioners of Cabarrus County, to be
<br />effective July 1, 2013; and
<br />4. The appointment of an advisory board to the new Human Services
<br />Agency will be considered at a later date.

<br />routine affairs and will report to the Board of Commissioners.

<br />(Qualified School Construction Bonds) reallocations totaling $67,979.00. He
<br />also responded to questions from the Board.

<br />UPON MOTION Of Commissioner Burrage, seconded by Vice Chairman White
<br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the Cabarrus County School's QSCB
<br />reallocation of various project budgets totaling $67,979.00 and the related
<br />budget amendment.

<br />Renovation and J.N. Fries Magnet School- Roofing. Surplus funds are available to reallocate from
<br />various completed OSCB protects.
