Scott Barringer to At- <br />Large positions for three -year terms ending December 31, 2016. <br />Vice Chairman White and Linda Miller will remain Ex- Officio <br />representatives. <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman White, seconded by Commissioner Burrage <br />and unanimously carried, the Board appointed designated Agency members as <br />indicated in the aforementioned table; including an exception to the "service <br />on multiple boards" provision of the Appointment Policy for Kathy Mowrer; <br />transferred Mary Wittmann from a Consumer representative to an At -Large <br />representative with her term ending December 31, 2015; transferred Betty Babb <br />to an At -Large position and extended her term to end December 31, 2015; <br />transferred Gail Linker to an At -Large position with term ending December 31, <br />2013; appointed James Polk and L. Scott Barringer to the HCCBG as At -Large <br />representatives for 3 -year terms ending December 31, 2016; and removed Cyndi <br />Smart, (Department of Aging) representative, Beth Croom and Karin Allen, <br />(Meals on Wheels) representatives, from the HCCBG roster and thanked them for <br />their service. <br />(H -11) Appointments and Removals - Transportation Advisory Board <br />The terms of appointment for Julia Patterson (Cabarrus Health Alliance <br />Healthy Cabarrus) and Tony Harris (County Safety and Risk Director) on the <br />Transportation Advisory Board (TAB) ends June 30, 2013. Both would like to <br />serve another term. An exception to the "residency" provision of the <br />Appointment Policy will be needed for them. <br />It is requested to remove the following members from the TAB due to <br />lack of attendance at the TAB meetings: Justin Brines (Cabarrus EMS), Sharon <br />Corpening (Social Work [Blind]), and Ben Warren (City of Kannapolis). <br />An application has been received from Michael Smith. It is requested <br />to appoint Mr. Smith to fill the Cabarrus EMS position being vacated by <br />Justin Brines. An exception to the "residency" provision of the Appointment <br />Policy will be needed for him. <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman White, seconded by Commissioner Burrage <br />and unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Julia Patterson (Cabarrus <br />Health Alliance Healthy Cabarrus) and Tony Harris (County Safety and Risk <br />Director) to the TAB for three -year terms ending June 30, 2016, including an <br />exception to the "residency" provision of the Appointment Policy for Ms. <br />Patterson and Mr. Harris; removed Justin Brines, Sharon Corpening and Ben <br />Warren from the TAB roster; and appointed Michael Smith to the TAB as the <br />Cabarrus EMS representative for a three -year term ending June 30, 2016; <br />including an exception to the "residency" provision of the Appointment <br />Policy. <br />Chairman Poole announced applications are needed for vacant positions <br />on the Transportation Advisory Board for "Visually Impaired" and "Local <br />Clergy" representatives. <br />(I) REPORTS <br />(I -1) County Manager - Monthly Reports on Building Activity <br />The Board received the Cabarrus County Construction Standards Dodge <br />Report for May 2013 and the Cabarrus County Commercial Building Plan Review <br />Summary for May 2013 for informational purposes as part of the Agenda. No <br />action was required of the Board. <br />(I -2) Planning and Development - CDBG Monthly Report for April <br />The Board received the monthly report for CDBG activity for <br />informational purposes as part of the Agenda.
