Local responsibilities were
last clarified in 2006, reflecting the restructure of the CSWCD from a
department to a division within a department.
Major revisions in the 2013 version reflect the 2011 transfer of the
Division of Soil and Water from the Department of Natural Resources to the
Department of Agriculture. The Operational Agreement is the foundation for a
locally -led, voluntary approach to natural resource conservation. The CSWCD
was officially chartered on August 28, 1963, as a sub -unit of state
government. The year -long observance of this anniversary will commence in
August.
UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman White, seconded by Commissioner Burrage
and unanimously carried, the Board approved the revised Operational
Agreement /Memorandum of Understanding.
