He also noted the large number of online resources available to <br />citizens through the library. <br />(J -6) Request for Applications for County Boards /Committees <br />Chairman Poole announced the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners is <br />seeking applicants for five (5) positions on the Human Services Advisory <br />Board. Applicants must reside in Cabarrus County and not own or be married to <br />an owner of an adult care home in North Carolina. Candidates must be able to <br />attend regular monthly meetings, special meetings and other agency events and <br />trainings as required. Residents of Cabarrus County are urged to apply for <br />membership. Appointment applications are available at the County Manager's <br />Office, may be downloaded.from the County's website at www.cabarruscounty.us <br />or may be requested by calling 704 - 920 -2100. <br />She also announced the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners is <br />seeking applicants for one (1) position representing Cabarrus County on the <br />Charlotte - Douglas International Airport Commission. Applicants must be <br />registered voters of Cabarrus County and should have experience in aviation, <br />logistics, construction, facilities management, law, accounting and /or <br />finance. Residents of Cabarrus County with the aforementioned experience are <br />urged to apply for membership. <br />In addition to an appointment application, applicants are requested to <br />submit a one -page cover letter detailing their qualifications and experience <br />as it relates to the representative position on the Charlotte- Douglas <br />International Airport Commission. Appointment applications are available at <br />the County Manager's Office, may be downloaded from the County's website at <br />www.cabarruscounty.us or may be requested by calling 704 - 920 -2100. <br />Applications and cover letters must be received by or before 5:00 p.m. on <br />Thursday, August 29, 2013 for consideration by the Cabarrus County Board of <br />Commissioners.
