August 19, 2013 (Regular Meeting) Page 1651 <br />Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its <br />adoption. <br />Thereupon, upon motion of Vice Chairman Measmer, seconded by <br />Commissioner Burrage, the foregoing resolution entitled `RESOLUTION APPROVING <br />CONVEYANCE OF CONSERVATION EASEMENT; AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION AND DELIVERY <br />OF RELATED DOCUMENTS IN CONNECTION THEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR CERTAIN OTHER <br />RELATED MATTERS" was adopted and passed by the following vote: <br />AYES: Chairman Poole, Vice Chairman Measmer, and Commissioners <br />Burrage, Morris and Oesterreich. <br />NOES: None. <br />Adopted this the 19th day of August, 2013. <br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />BY: !s/ Elizabeth F. Poole, Chairman <br />ATTEST: <br />/s/ Megan Smit <br />Megan Smit, Clerk to the Board <br />(G -10) Sheriff - Approval of Bid from Hilbish Motor Company for 2014 Ford <br />Police Interceptor Vehicles - $367,185.00 <br />The Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office budgeted $390,000.00 for 15 police <br />vehicles for FY 2014. The RFB (Request for Bids) was advertised for 2014 <br />Ford Police Interceptor Vehicles. There were two bids submitted. One bid <br />was from Hilbish Motor Company in Kannapolis, NC with a price per vehicle of <br />$24,479.00. The other bid was from Lum's Ford in Albemarle, NC with a price <br />per vehicle of $25,136.50. Using the lowest bid, the price for 15 police <br />vehicles will be $367,185.00. <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Measmer, seconded by Commissioner Burrage <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the bid award with Hilbish Motor <br />Company and authorized the Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office to purchase 15 <br />Ford Police Interceptor Vehicles at a total cost of $367,185.00. <br />(G -11) Tax Administration - Refund and Release Report - July 2013 <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Measmer, seconded by Commissioner Burrage <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the July 2013 Refund- Release <br />report as submitted and granted authority to the Tax Collector to process the <br />refunds and releases. <br />RELEASES FOR THE MONTH OF: July 2013 <br />BREAKDOWN OF RELEASES: <br />COUNTY <br />$67,073.22 <br />CITY OF CONCORD <br />$7,257.99 <br />CITY OF KANNAPOLIS <br />$8,466.77 <br />CITY OF LOCUST <br />$0.00 <br />CITY OF STANFIELD <br />$0.00 <br />TOWN OF HARRISBURG <br />$327.59 <br />TOWN OF MIDLAND <br />$100.85 <br />TOWN OF MT.
