<br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Burrage, seconded by Vice Chairman Measmer
<br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the write -off of all outstanding
<br />2003 real and personal property taxes as of September 1, 2013 for Cabarrus
<br />County and all jurisdictions for which the County collects.
<br />(G) NEW BUSINESS
<br />(G -1) Planning and Development - Proposed Text Amendment TEXT2013- 00003,
<br />Amendments to Chapters 2, 4, 8 and 12 - Public Hearing 6:30 P.M.
<br />Susie Morris, Planning and Zoning Manager, presented text changes to
<br />the following Chapters in the Cabarrus County Zoning Ordinance and responded
<br />to questions from the Board.
<br />Chapter 2 - Clarification of definition of bona fide farm
<br />(SL2013 -347). Additional definitions are also being added.
<br />Changes are located on pages 2, 5, 8, 9, 22 and 25.
<br />Chapter 4 - Overlay Districts and Zones - Remove outdated
<br />language (Rimertown Overlay, Manufactured Home Overlay, Airport
<br />Overlay).
<br />Chapter 8 - Act to Facilitate the Deployment of Mobile Broadband
<br />and Other Enhanced Wireless Communications (SL2013 -185).
<br />Changes to #36, Wireless Telecommunications Services only.
<br />Effective date of October 1, 2013.
<br />Chapter 12 - Modernization of the Board of Adjustment Statutes
<br />(SL2013 -126) changes. Effective date of October 1, 2013.
<br />The Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously voted (9 -0) on August
<br />13, 2013 to forward the proposed amendments to the Board of Commissioners for
<br />final consideration.
<br />Chairman Poole opened the public hearing at 6:56 p.m. The Public
<br />Hearing Notice was published on September 4 and 11, 2013 in The Independent
<br />Tribune. The public hearing notice was also posted on the County's website
<br />( www.cabarrus county. us ) on September 4, 2013 in accordance with Article 2,
<br />Administration, Section 2.1 (Use of Electronic Means to Provide Public
<br />Notices) of the Cabarrus County Code of Ordinances.
<br />There was no one present to address the Board; therefore, Chairman
<br />Poole closed the public hearing.
<br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Measmer, seconded by Commissioner Burrage
<br />and unanimously carried, the Board adopted proposed Text Amendment TEXT2013-
<br />00003, Amending Chapters 2, 4, 8 and 12.

<br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CABARRUS COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE
<br />TEXT2013 -00003
<br />BE IT ORDAINED that the Cabarrus County Zoning Ordinance is hereby
<br />amended as follows:
<br />The following Sections shall be DELETED and REPLACED with amended
<br />language:
<br />• Chapter 2
<br />Chapter 4
<br />• Chapter 8
<br />• Chapter 12
<br />REVISE the Table of Contents to correspond to text changes.
<br />Adopted this 16th day of September, 2013 by the Cabarrus County Board
<br />of Commissioners.
