December 16, 2013 {Regular Meeting} <br />Page 1859 <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Burrage, seconded by Commissioner Measmer <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved an expansion of the existing <br />contract with Professional Resources and Services (PRS). <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Burrage, seconded by Commissioner Measmer <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the following budget amendment to <br />the Construction and Renovation Fund. <br />Date:12 /6/2013 Amount:$ 146, 545. 00 <br />Dept. Finance Director Department: Construction & Renovation Fund <br />❑ Internal Transfer Within Department 1 -1 Transfer Between Departments /Funds © Supplemental Request <br />Purpose: Radio Tower fees are being collected from three cellular companies that occupy space on <br />the Communications tower located at Mt. Pleasant High School. This budget amendment increases <br />the Tower Rental Fee revenue account and corresponding Equipment expenditure account to the <br />estimated revenue that will be collected through June 30, 2014. Approximately$86,000 is <br />collected annually and recorded in the multi -year Construction and Renovation Fund. Foundation <br />repairs are being made on the Mt. Pleasant Emergency Communications Tower. The costs for the <br />project will be paid from the Construction & Renovations Fund. The costs will be split between <br />Cabarrus County and Private providers. Mitchell - Bobby Kanipe; Mt. <br />Pleasant - Del Eudy; Odell - Jacob Williams; Rimer - Earlene Cox. <br />The following trustees request to be appointed to serve as Firemen's <br />Relief Fund Trustees for two -year terns ending January 31, 2016: Georgeville <br />- Nicole Beaver; Northeast - Richard E. Earnhardt. <br />The following trustees resigned their position and the appointees to <br />fill the unexpired term ending January 31, 2015, are: Midland - Clyde Kuntz <br />resigning, appointing Darrell Page; Mt. Earnhardt "Northeast" to serve as Firemen's Relief Fund Trustees <br />for two -year terms ending January 31, 2016. <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Burrage, seconded by Commissioner Measmer <br />and unanimously carried, the Board appointed Darrell Page "Midland" and James <br />Sells "Mount Pleasant Rural" to serve as Firemen's Relief Fund Trustees to <br />complete unexpired terms ending January 31, 2015. <br />(H -2) Appointments - Active Living and Parks Commission <br />At the November 21, 2013 Active Living and Parks Commission meeting, the <br />Commission voted unanimously to recommend the reappointment of John DeVitto <br />"Eastern Area" and Gina Lowery "Concord Area" to the Active Living and Parks <br />Commission for three -year terms ending January 31, 2017. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Measmer, seconded by Vice Chairman Burrage <br />and unanimously carried, the Board reappointed John DeVitto "Eastern Area" and <br />Gina Lowery "Concord Area" to the Cabarrus County Active Living and Parks <br />Commission for three -year terms ending January 31, 2017. <br />(H -3) Appointments - Human Services Advisory Board <br />
