Poole <br />Larry M. Burrage <br />Robert W. Carruth <br />Christopher A. Measmer <br />H. Jay White, Sr. <br />Also present were Mike Downs, County Manager; Richard M. Koch, County <br />Attorney; Jonathan Marshall, Deputy County Manager; Pam Dubois, Deputy County <br />Manager and Kay Honeycutt, Clerk to the Board. <br />Chairman Poole called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. <br />Commissioner Carruth led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Chaplain Bernie Loos, Cabarrus County Sheriff's Department, delivered <br />the invocation. <br />(A) APPROVAL OR CORRECTION OF MINUTES <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carruth, seconded by Commissioner Measmer <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the minutes of May 21, 2012 <br />(Regular Meeting), May 22, 2012 (Recessed Meeting) and May 24, 2012 (Recessed <br />Meeting) as written. <br />B) APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA <br />Chairman Poole reviewed the following changes to the Agenda: <br />Addition - Closed Session <br />L -1 Closed Session - Litigation, Economic Development and Personnel as <br />Authorized by NCGS 143- 318.11(a)(3)(4) and (6) <br />Removal - New Business <br />G -2 EDC - Economic Development Grant Request and Public Hearing - 6:30 P.M. <br />Supplemental Information - Approval or Correction of Meeting Minutes <br />® May 24, 2012 Recessed Meeting <br />Supplemental Information - New Business <br />G -4 County Manager - Adoption of the FY 13 Budget and Public Hearing - 6:30 <br />P.M. <br />• Special Fire Tax and Insurance Districts Fund <br />• Action Requested - Recess Meeting to Tuesday, June 26 at 5:00 P.M. <br />in the Multipurpose Room <br />Supplemental Information - Appointments to Boards and Committees <br />H -6 Appointments - Public Health Authority of Cabarrus County <br />• Resolution No. 1998 -19 <br />• D. Pilkington Email Dated June 15, 2012 <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner White, seconded by Commissioner Measmer and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved the Agenda as amended. <br />(C) RECOGNITIONS AND PRESENTATIONS <br />(C -1) Human Resources - Recognition of Joyce L. Plummer on Her Retirement <br />from Cabarrus County Department of Social Services <br />Ben Rose, Human Services Director, recognized Joyce L. Plummer on her <br />retirement effective July 1, 2012, from the Cabarrus County Department of <br />Social Services (DSS) after twenty -six (26) years of service. Mr. Rose <br />highlighted a number of Plummer's accomplishments during her tenure with the <br />Department and presented a service award of appreciation for her service to <br />the community. <br />Ms. Plummer accepted the award and thanked the Board for its support to <br />DSS. <br />
