June 18, 2012 (Regular Meeting) <br />None. <br />(L) CLOSED SESSION <br />Page 1141 <br />(L -1) Closed Session - Litigation, Economic Development and Personnel as <br />Authorized by NCGS 143- 318.11(a)(3)(4) and (6) <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner White, seconded by Commissioner Measmer and <br />unanimously carried, the Board moved to go into closed session to discuss <br />litigation, economic development and personnel matters as authorized by NCGS <br />143- 318.11(a)(3),(4) and (6) . Representatives of the Economic Development <br />Corporation were invited into the meeting. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carruth, seconded by Commissioner White and <br />unanimously carried, the Board moved to come out of closed session. <br />Return To Open Session <br />EDC - Economic Development Grant Request and Public Hearing - 4:00 P.M. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carruth, seconded by Commissioner White and <br />unanimously carried, the Board scheduled a public hearing at 4:00 p.m. on <br />July 2, 2012 to consider an economic development grant for Corning, a local <br />glass manufacturer located in Midland, which plans to expand its current <br />operations with an investment in personal property totaling $69 million. <br />(M) RECESS <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner White, seconded by Commissioner Carruth, <br />and unanimously carried, the meeting recessed at 10:17 p.m., until Tuesday, <br />June 26, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room. <br />Kay one ut k to the Board <br />
