Hard copies of the report, "Cabarrus Council for a <br />Sustainable Local Economy Listening Tour on Regulatory Reform - Findings" was <br />provided to the Board. The report included the following information: <br />• Time and location of meetings <br />• Turnout <br />• Theme <br />• Recommendations for Commissioners <br />• Action Items Needed (Taken by CSLE) <br />• Concord General Notes <br />• Mount Pleasant General Notes <br />• Kannapolis General Notes <br />A discussion ensued. During discussion, Ms. Clay, Mr. Knipp and Mike <br />Downs, County Manager, responded to a variety of questions from the Board. No <br />action was taken. <br />ITS - Status Report on Collaborative Technology Services with Cabarrus County <br />Schools and Kannapolis City Schools <br />Debbie Brannan, Information Technology Services (ITS) Director, and <br />Todd Shanley, ITS Manager, presented a PowerPoint presentation status report <br />on Collaborative Technology Services with Cabarrus County Schools (CCS) and <br />Kannapolis City Schools (KCS). The report included the following <br />information: <br />• Strategic Vision and Goals <br />• Shared School Technology Goals <br />W Interlocal Agreement <br />o Risks of Collaboration <br />o Cabarrus County Schools Projects <br />• Kannapolis City Schools Projects <br />• Shared Storage - Cabarrus County Data Center <br />• CCS and KCS Data Center Co- location Outcomes <br />• KCS Additional Collaborative Project Outcomes <br />• Server Virtualization <br />• Collaborative Technology Services <br />During the presentation, Ms. Brannan and Mr. Shanley responded to <br />questions from the Board. <br />Discussion Items for Action at September 17, 2012 Meeting <br />Finance - Qualified School Construction Bonds (QSCB) Reallocation Request for <br />Kannapolis City Schools - $446,200.00 <br />On behalf of Will Crabtree, Kannapolis City Schools (KCS), Susan <br />Fearrington, Assistant Finance Director, presented the following information <br />related to a reallocation request of $446,200.00 for KCS: <br />The Kannapolis City School Finance staff are requesting <br />reallocations totaling $446,200.00. Decreases are being <br />requested for the following projects that came in under budget or <br />are being canceled: AL Brown Lighting ($257,900.00), Forest Park <br />HVAC ($69,800.00), Fred L Wilson HVAC ($43,500.00), AL Brown <br />
