Communication Issues Commissioner Measmer identified the following items as "communication issues ": • Wants agenda distributed earlier for the work session • Better communication between board members - wants communication lines reopened • Compliments county staff - very helpful and responsive • County /city relations • Constituent services - plans to hold monthly office hours Commissioner Carruth identified the following items as "communication issues ": • Community meetings for specific purposes • More board involvement for stakeholders • Board expansion • Succession plan • Commissioners - (two) 2 person teams (committees) on specific topics • Cabarrus - 250,000 population - what does government need to look like (i.e. animal shelter) Vice Chairman Poole identified the following items as "communication issues ": • More transparencies from agencies funded by county but governed by another agency (i.e., Health Alliance capital project) • Executive directors should be at meetings when issues discussed • Meet with city council and legislative delegation
