He advised road <br />maintenance complaints such as potholes may be reported to Janice Hampton at <br />704 - 436 -9316. <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Poole, seconded by Commissioner Burrage <br />and unanimously carried, the Board voted to place Presentation of 2010 -2011 <br />Secondary Road Construction Program on the February 21, 2011 Agenda as a <br />Consent item. <br />EDC - Economic Development Grant Request for S.P. Richards Company and <br />Request for Public Hearing <br />Ryan McDaniels, of the Cabarrus Economic Development Corporation (EDC) , <br />presented the following information related to a request for an Economic <br />Development Grant (3 -year, 85 %) for S.P. Richards Company that was approved <br />by the EDC Board of Directors on January 25, 2011: the company plans to <br />construct a 200,000 square foot distribution center (office supplies) on <br />vacant property at Cold Stream Boulevard and Glen Afton Boulevard in <br />Kannapolis as part of Afton Ridge, also known as the "Super Target shopping <br />center "; the total projected investment is $11.8 million ($10 million - real <br />estate; $1.8 million - equipment); and the company plans to create 66 new <br />Bethlehem Church Road from NC 49 to SR 2452 (Culp <br />SR 2454 <br />Road) 1.70 miles, Widen from 16' to 20' with cement <br />$345,000 <br />treated stabilization <br />Pine Bluff Road from NC 24/27 to Stanly County Line <br />$200,000 <br />SR 1100 <br />Length 1.00 miles, Widen from 16 to 20 feet <br />(Additional Funding) <br />Lentz Harness Shop Road from NC 73 to SR 2444 (St. <br />SR 2453 <br />Stephens Church Road) 5.44 miles widen from 17' to <br />$950,000 <br />20' with cement treated stabilization <br />Subtotal $1,495,000 <br />III.
